Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Greensboro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I was craving an Indian buffet and wanted to try somewhere new. That curiosity brought me to Noor, which had been on my radar since it opened a few years back. I wish I could say that it was worth the wait, but my experience here suggested otherwise. Positives first: Noor is both spacious and stylish with plenty of seating in both the bar and dining areas. Sujan proved to be an attentive and courteous server. That said, the buffet was somewhat underwhelming. It was smaller than those I’ve found elsewhere in the area. While it offered a solid mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, those offerings were the epitome of playing it safe. Only the hakka noodles (not always an Indian buffet staple) and butter chicken (better than average) really stood out. Nothing else, from the tandoori chicken to the daal to the naan, was prepared poorly, but it was fairly forgettable. Granted, buffet food needs to appeal to a wide range of diners with varying levels of spice tolerance, and so I went in not expecting any heat. Take spiciness out of the equation, however, and the flavors still felt subdued. At least the $20 seemed reasonable for what was offered. It’s possible that Noor really s

This was my first time having India’s food and it was fantastic. I had mango chicken and cheese naan, everything was delicious. My friend was celebrating her birthday and they brought an amazing dessert for the table to share. Fantastic meal, service and total experience.

The doors were unlocked before the opening time which I appreciated as I arrived early. I was immediately greeted by a kind gentleman who sat me at a booth (without request, which is nice). This restaurant wowed me the moment I walked in. Tastefully high end decor which gave a special yet relaxing atmophere. Of note there were tvs to the left. I presume there is a bar there. We were seated in a smaller room with about 3 booths and 4 tables. Once seated we were greeted by a friendly server and given a free appetizer, I think it was papadum, served with a dip and spices. They offer a lunch menu which I took advatage of. It was like a bento box in asian restaurants as it had different compartments with different items. (see my pics) You order the entree and the rest is standard on the three lunch options. Lastly the server brought out a donut type dessert, I think Gulab Jamun, which is covered in a syrup. It is very sweet. The food was all excellent and the atmosphere perfect for a date night, gathering with friends or a large group. I look forward to my next visit.

Nice spacious restaurant with palatable Indian fare. The biryani we ordered was too spicy and not up to the mark, but the manager was kind enough to give a complimentary dessert to make up for it. The chicken Tikka masala and paneer makhani was good. Will recommend the restaurant for a try..

a friend and i were looking for a restaurant to come and catch up at, whenever we stumbled across Noor kitchen and cocktails. We read the reviews and did research across social media and google and were hopeful coming in. we ordered the veggie samosa, garlic naan, mango chicken curry and chickpea curry. Our server was polite and helpful when we were choosing our dishes. the food came out relatively quickly, our food was lukewarm however the samosas were hot. the food was okay, our server seemed upset that we didn’t eat much of our food however we insisted we were just full. he brought out a dessert on the house for us which was much appreciated however it was also not wonderful.
